I actually realised in this very good duet how flawless Marc Almonds perfect pitch is to compared with a lot of accomplished vocalist. He nails it completely and Emelda lets out a few harmonic failures.

Have to admit that I can take or leave most of Soft Cell, but have always loved this song - and this duet version is absolutely superb. Wonder how long they worked on the parts and arrangement before they realised it was going to catch fire like this?

I was at the Barbican for this, bloody amazing, everyone was bringing it that night. Especially Camille O'Sullivan and even Arthur H. I think this might have been my favourite show ever. Brilliant to see this clip. Thanks for posting.

Absolutely ace concert , Marc and the band , sorry about Neal ' s injury , were on top form . From the setlist , I only missed " You have " , that would have been the icing on the cake as an encore , but again , I've seen Marc live 6 times over the years and this has been my favourite. Thanks for sharing

Whatever arrangements given to this song, it never loses the golden dust, glittering through the veils of the ''saintly dusk'' hopelessness it suggests. Imelda does get ''inside the story'' and delivers on an intense duet.
